This course will introduce students to OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles. The scope and application of OSHA construction standards will also be addressed. Emphasis is placed on those areas that are most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Construction CFR included in course. 2.8 CEUs. (Prerequisite to the OSHA 500 Trainer Course.)

The new electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E) are the next step to a safer electrical environment in the workplace. Anyone who deals with hazards such as electrocutions, fires and explosions should attend. Learn how to prevent serious disabling injuries, prevent damage to equipment and work sites and, most importantly, save lives.
Introduction to Accident Investigation
Introduction to accident investigation provides an introduction to basic accident investigation procedures and describes accident analysis techniques. The goal of the course is to help participants gain the basic skills necessary to conduct an effective accident investigation at their workplace. The target audience is the small employer, manager, employee or employee representative who, as part of a firm's safety and health system, would be involved in conducting accident and/or near-miss investigations.
Introduction to Machinery and Machine Safeguarding
The main focus of this course is to increase the participant's knowledge and skill in proper machine safeguarding techniques, and to highlight the benefits of guarding various types of machinery. It is the employer's responsibility to identify and select the safeguard necessary to protect employees and others in the work area, as well as provide appropriate training in safe work practices. Knowing when and how to properly safeguard machinery can reduce or eliminate the potential for accidents and injuries.
Introduction to Safety & Health Management
This short course is designed for newly appointed Safety Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders. This course has been designed to introduce employees and managers to the importance of the safety and health program and the role of OSHA and other organizations such as NFPA. It will give employees an opportunity to reflect upon the duties placed on the employer regarding health, safety and environmental performance, including his or her own role, responsibility and accountability within the organisational framework.Introduction to Hazardous Materials
This is an Awareness Course and is aimed at the First Responder who needs to know how to identify a spill and take the initial precautionary measures. This course will explain what hazardous materials incidents are, as well as giving the students skills to detect the presence of hazardous materials and operate in a defensive manner when they are the "first on scene". The instruction includes an overview of how incidents are classified, understanding the risks associated with them and the proper notification procedures. Other topics of instruction include: the Incident Command System, use of the Emergency Response Guidebook and understanding emergency response plans.
Introduction to Incident Management
Introduction to the Incident Command System and introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) to safety professional from the private or public sector and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
